Boo!

Our little ghost!

Pumpkin Fun

The only right way to start off this post is with some pictures of our cutest little pumpkin!

I came home from Bunco at the beginning of the month with one of those mini pumpkins. Logan thought it was the best new thing, carrying it around with him all weekend. So, when we went to the pumpkin patch and he picked out some of various sizes for our house, we had to get to decorating... in more ways than one!

It started with painting 3 of them.

Why are they on the shelf of my hutch instead of outside?
Because, if we paint with a 3 yr old, we use washable paint! I would hate for them to get rained on and for us to have to start all over! Hmm... Logan might enjoy that though!

And then came the carving fun.
The only thing about this activity is that I was really the one to do most of the "work" and since my son is not a real big fan of strange smells and sticky things, his interest didn't last as long as I had hoped! I usually describe him as "all boy" but in this post, that's not the case!

Pumpkin BEFORE

DURING
I wish I had a close-up of that face!

The ONLY time his hand dug in deep.
He kept making the sniffing noise and saying "ooh, stinky!"

This part he liked.
I bought a book with a lot of templates to choose from and he was SURE about wanting the ghost cut-out! All he had to do was poke the screwdriver-like tool into the little holes and then I used the saw to connect the dots. If I'm honest, he did about 1/3 of the all those little dots!

He was very proud of "our" finished product!!

Once it was dark I showed him what the purpose of the cutout was and he really liked this!

A Quick Visit

We took a day-trip to Pearland a couple weeks ago to visit Rachel and Joel and celebrate Joel's birthday. I tried to get a picture of Rachel with both boys and this is how the progression of shots went. Hey, with a 3 year old and a one month old, what can you do?!?

Trying to help Ryan look at the camera,
though he doesn't look himself!
A little bit of a choke hold

The best of the bunch!

Fall Has Arrived

Being from the northeast, fall in Texas really isn't "fall", but the temps have lowered a bit and Halloween is almost here, so outside activities are in full swing!

Last week Logan and I took Ryan to the park for the first time. We met up with my friend Mandy and her triplets and the kids played for over 3 hours! Ryan was quite a trooper as he ate, sat in the stroller and was carried in the bjorn.... he's such a good, happy baby! Here are some pics of Logan and the girls!

This kid loves to swing!

PUMPKIN PATCH

Another fun thing about fall is the Pumpkin Patches! I LOVE pictures in the pumpkins... I only wish Logan liked sitting still for me! He spent most of his time climbing and running, and we still managed to get some great shots. Wish we had some of him holding Ryan in the pumpkins, but Logan was way too busy for that!

Bridge Kids

Logan got to go on stage with the Bridge Kids for the first time a few weeks ago. He had only been to church a couple of times since the baby had been born, so knowing that month's song real well wasn't his strong point. Here is a video of the kids performing.

How cute are these two boys together?
I really look forward to them growing up through the church and through youth group, getting to share their experiences with the Lord together. It didn't surprise me one bit that they ended up sitting next to each other for this... they both arrive at church for one purpose, to see their best buddy!!!

A Special Week

This post is WAY over-due, but here it goes!

My Grandma came into town back in Sept for Logan's birthday week and we had a great visit spending quality time with her! It was so nice that she came for 11 days because nothing felt rushed and a lot of our time together was just "hanging out!"
Be prepared for LOTS of pictures!

His big present from my parents and Grandma was a new swingset at my parent's house! He was very surprised...

and really wanted to share it with his brother!
this one had a new type of "swing" that he really likes

THE WOODLANDS MALL
We spent one special day at the mall. We did the children's museum, ate lunch and did lots of shopping. My dad took the day off and helped out a ton with keeping Logan occupied while we spent money!

Grandpa and Logan playing puppets
We go to the museum all the time and Logan has never wanted to dress up. This day, he was a bee and even a ladybug for a little while. He thought this was so fun, I'm sure we'll be doing it every time from now on!
And here is all 4 generations!

My Grandma left her mark on the museum wall!
And while my mom and I did some shopping,
and my dad and Logan were at the playground,
Great Grandma spent some quality time with Ryan!

LOGAN'S BIRTHDAY!

On Logan's actual birthday, we went to my parents for dinner, presents and cake. There were a TON of pictures that night, so these are just a few.

LOGAN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY
I think we celebrated his special day every day of that week,
but this was the real celebration...
friends, family, food and FUN!

This was the first year we invited any of his little friends.
Here are some of them eating at the table,
being entertained by my very funny brother!

Before bed, Logan read a book to all of us. He LOVES Thomas and has memorized this book, A Crack in the Track. It's so fun to see his little brain at work and I love listening to his sweet voice as he reads!

The party was wonderful, and the week with Great Grandma made this 3rd birthday extra special... I'm sure Logan agrees!
