Craziness

We have had a very busy last couple of weeks,
so I'm a little behind.

Easter was interesting this year!

This was the Tuesday before Easter, playing in the backyard!

And this was Thursday, just two days later...

That's right... the little (big) man got the chicken pox!
We had to do some big shuffling with our Easter plans because of course, you can't expose him to others and my brother, for one, has never had the chicken pox. So, although he did come into town, we had to work around seeing him as we also tried to make sure Logan didn't miss out on any of the Easter fun.

Decorating Eggs for the first time!
Our finished goods

On that Saturday I took Logan to his school's Easter festival. Let me tell you, they know how to throw a party! Three egg hunts, rock climbing, bounce houses, train rides, hat making, face painting... tons of fun packed into just a few hours! So glad he didn't have to miss out on this... thanks Grandma for keeping Ryan! :-)

Meeting the Easter Bunny
Sorry, but I thought this was funny.
It was the hottest day we've had this year:
too hot for shoes???

Train rides and snow cones with Damon and Ty
Taking a break during a hunt to check out the goods!

This hat making station was pretty cool...
more so for girls, but all the kids enjoyed it!

Decorating time!
Ta-da!!
Face-painting!
Clifford the Big Red Dog...
And Lily wanted to be Spiderman! I'm sure that was fun to get off!

He wanted to do the rock climbing from the minute we got there.
I was sure he wouldn't go through with it,
so we waited until the line was low...

As I was taking this picture, I was thinking,
"There's no way he'll go through with this!"
But, up he went!!!
And when the ledges got too far away from each other for him to reach, he was instructed to "just let go!"
SO FUN!!! He really surprised me with this one!
"Eggapalooza" was a blast and he's already mentioned going again next year!

Easter morning

Loving the eggs!
And the fake grass

That morning, Jeff took Logan to church while I stayed home with Ryan, then we switched in the afternoon so that I could take Logan to see my family.

Church friends

We went to my parents house for the day... always fun!
Waiting to hunt eggs!
The hunt is not very easy to photograph
He had to help me open all Ryan's Easter treats since he couldn't be there with us!
Playing

My Aunt Maureen receives the award for best gift I think...
Little investigator Logan...
he was calling himself "Special Agent Oso"
And he was able to help Grandpa out with his reading!
Easter Day was also my dad's birthday!
We went out to dinner before my brother hit the road for home.
And then gave him his birthday pie later that night!

It wasn't what we had planned and I was sad that we weren't even able to get a family picture that day (as we were never all at the same place) but it is what it is... and we'll always remember it!

The good news is Ryan is better now, his case of the pox wasn't ridiculous and we were still able to spend the holiday with family.

Yep! I'd say Ryan had a good case of chicken pox, but it doesn't look like it slowed him down much! And I don't think there's anything Mr. Logan won't try - way to go rock climber!! I'm totally impressed!!! As always, thanks so much for posting photos. By the way, you look GREAT in the Easter photos! Love ya'll....
