Soccer and Race Day

As mentioned in the previous post, Logan is now playing soccer. Seeing as we have 3 boys, this means that we have taken the plunge into giving up a part of our Saturdays for at least the next 18 years, regardless of what sport(s) they each may choose to play!! So fun!!!

We chose to start with I9 Sports because they don't practice on the weekdays and instead just have the practice for the 45 minutes before the game. Logan has enjoyed it and Grandma and Grandpa have been able to make every game, making it a great way for us to have family time at least once a week!
Practicing throw-ins

Snatching a picture during a water break! Love him!!!

Team cheer!

Go Aeros!

Second game, he scored a goal and played the whole time.
Each week they give out a medal for a certain topic (determination, attitude, effort, etc...) and he won the medal for being the best hustler.

Logan and Coach... with the medal!

So, do we have a new mini-me on the soccer field? I'm not so sure, but I can tell you that some kids are REALLY aggressive and get into those clusters and tear things up to come out with the ball. That is NOT our son... at least not yet! He does do a pretty good job at goalie though and he has scored a couple of goals so far this season! He really enjoys it and that's what matters to me! :-)

Race Day
A few weeks back, my dad ran in 10 for Texas, a 10 mile race through the Woodlands. I took the two older ones to SURPRISE him at the finish line and Logan and I made signs to take with us.

He was very serious about keeping an eye out for Grandpa!

Such a big fan of Grandpa!

I didn't get a picture of him finishing because we missed it! Apparently, Logan and I took more interest in an amputee survivor and Logan had questions about the fake leg and we missed it... so we waited, and waited, and waited. Realizing we either missed him or he had an injury and didn't finish, we had to go searching and left a message on his cell to call us. So, here we are meeting up with him AN HOUR later!!! OMG... Ryan was DONE and next time, we will NOT surprise him, but rather make sure he knows we're coming so he can have his eye out for us too!   It's really quite embarrassing, but what can you do?!?!

I love pictures like this...

Great job Dad! Too bad we couldn't see you and scream to show how proud we were. Sure would have made for a better morning for Ryan (and mommy) but next time, we'll have a plan for you to know exactly where we are so we don't have this mix-up again! Love you!
