February- In ONE Post

 Valentine's Day

We didn't do as much for Valentine's Day this year, but we did start the day off with what has become our annual scavenger hunt. Now that Logan can read, he was able to do it all by himself and really enjoyed the "hunt" for his treat!

A box of chocolates!

This is how our boys "play" the Wii. Logan plays while the others hold remotes that don't work and pretend they are driving too. Ryan will even request the game to be played and Logan will play what he chooses (most of the time). We'll see how this works when Ryan actually realizes that his movements don't line up with what's happening on screen! :)

On Valentine's afternoon our dear friends the Kellys had a Valentine playdate. They had crafts, snacks and goody bags for all the guests. This little "room" was under their staircase and was a big hit for my boys!
Paint and take...

Joshua had friends at this play-date too!
Joshua and Caleb (his twin Isaiah was MIA)

Cupcake decorating... J was here for about 30 min!

More NY Family

Since Colleen and Ali couldn't come for the dedication, they chose to plan their own trip in February. In waiting for them to arrive, I decided to play around with our new camera and try to get some tree climbing shots of the boys.

Waiting...

I wanna climb... um, no!

Here they come!!!

Unfortunately the rest of their visit is on my mom's camera and seeing as I'm already over a month behind, I'm just going to go on.

Koehl Farm

We go to church with a dear family that lives on a real horse ranch! Stables, an arena for training and horses galore! As a sweet treat, they offered for our mom group to come on a field trip for a day and see all the fun their property offers! My kids, more specifically Ryan, were in HEAVEN! I mean it, each and EVERY time that Ryan has seen Ms Deanna since, he exclaims, "Mommy! Horse Farm! Neigh!" and points to Deanna! It made quite an impression on his little life!

They also breed labs and had a new litter of puppies for the kiddos to adore!

Watching a horse get a bath!

Rides on the Gator!

Popsicle time!

Logan gave up popsicles for Lent, so you'll see here that he's enjoying a Capri Sun and trying hard to believe that he is making a good decision. Don't worry, mommy had another treat in case this happened and he was satisfied with his candy! It's hard for a 5 yr old to keep something like that and I'm proud of him for completing his sacrifice! :-)

Ryan didn't give up anything for lent!
A little young yet! LOL

These two shots were taken on Deanna's camera, from well over 70 yards away. We had already been over by this horse earlier in the visit and Ryan just wandered off and decided he needed to make his way back over. He's SUPER independent and quite a risk taker. I just love these pictures!

New Pets

On MY birthday, a sweet friend from church passed down her kids' pets to my boys!

Meet Mario and Luigi.

Mario is the lighter one, Luigi was the darker one...
(Notice I said "was"???) That post coming soon!

And that's February! Lots of excitement!
