October 2012

October is always a fun time of year! We always look forward to lower temps (though that didn't happen this year) and great fall pumpkin fun. Having Logan in school this year has been an adjustment for me with planning crafts and fun outings, so I'm a little disappointed so much time flew by this semester without some of our traditions being continued. I guess that's life with a school-aged kid.

Did you know that when your kid turns 5, they can get their own library card?!?! I didn't know that either, but as soon as we learned it Logan was ready to sign the dotted line. :-)
He's so proud of HIS card and using HIS card to check out books for him and his brothers. My card is now only used for adult books and the dvds we like to get.

Ever since we visited The Koehl's farm last spring, Ryan continues to ask Ms Deana if we can come see her horses... every.time. he sees her. She planned a day with me just for my boys and Ryan was in HEAVEN!

Riding the gator...

Playing in the hay

Riding horses! Thank you Mr.Troy... you've made this kid's dream come true!

Logan played soccer this fall... and really improved a lot more this year around than last. It was a fun family outing every Saturday morning. :-)

Halloween Fun!

Shopping for our Halloween costumes... after this reaction, there was no turning back.
This year we decorated pumpkins with stickers faces. Neat and easy, so a perfect activity!

Our Church's Fall Festival was lots of fun!

Halloween night

He has lived in this costume since Halloween... refused to take it off that night and that was one battle I didn't need to fight. My little sleeping superhero!

Jeff and I had a weekend getaway in October too. Getting to take in a Texas game and stay in Austin for the night was a special treat.
