One Month

Today my baby is one month old!

I cannot believe it's been a whole month already, but things are moving along very smoothly. He has fit himself into our family and home quite well I believe! My announcements went out today, which should explain why I have not been updating with pics on a more regular basis. Don't be fooled into thinking pics aren't being taken as I can assure you it has taken major restraint not to post them ALL, but I wouldn't want people to see pictures that are more current than the photo on the announcement. So, once I know that they have been received by our family and friends, I will get you all updated on what we've been doing the last couple weeks... and for my blog friends that aren't receiving the announcement, I will take a picture of it and post it early next week- it's quite precious if I may say so myself! :-)

Ryan is growing so fast... someone told me last week that he looked like he was 2 months old already and I thought I was going to cry. It seems he is following in his brother's footsteps, as an eater and a sleeper. Last night was his first night in his room and he only woke once at 3:30 to eat. I then had to wake him at 7 to get him fed before Logan woke up and our day got rolling.
I'd say my biggest challenges right now are
1. Getting all of us out of the house on time on the days Logan has school and
2. Keeping myself healthy with all this change in weather.
I welcome the lower temps, but not the drainage that comes with it! Logan and I both sound like we have a frog in our throat right now and I just feel a whole lot better if I whisper rather than speak.

Logan is still doing great as a big brother. We will be celebrating his birthday next week- the big 3! My grandmother is coming from NY for 11 days, so I'm sure there will be tons to post about her visit too! We cannot wait to see her and Logan is very excited about his Lightning McQueen party and all the family that will be coming in that weekend for his big day! This year, he will even get to celebrate at school as I will be bringing cupcakes up there after lunch on Thursday! Oh, what a week we're going to have... I made need a vacation after his party!

So, happy one month to my precious boy! We love you dearly and thank God daily for sharing you with us. Below are just a few things that I love and adore about you:

-your little squeal that is so different from anything I ever heard out of your brother's mouth- a bit squeaky I'd say
-your sweet peach fuzz head
-the little tint of red i can see in your hair
-how you always manage to get that left hand out of the swaddle to suck on those fingers
-those big blue eyes
-how you can keep your eyes closed through an entire bottle
-the grunting you do as you try to soothe yourself to sleep or begin to wake up
-the precious way you snuggle on my chest with knees pulled up

As I could go on and on, there is one thing I absolutely love that I hope I get to see for the rest of my life... the bond between you and Logan. He smothers you and loves on you so much (which is a gift to me in itself) and you just lay there and take it! Sometimes I get annoyed with how he just won't leave you alone and I pray right now that I stop getting annoyed... may I enjoy that to the fullest and be reminded of it on the days when you two are fighting as you get older! :-)

We love you both so much!
