Eggs, Marshmallows and Popsicles

The week before Easter, the festivities began. My Mom2Mom group had an Easter party at a local park and it was lots of fun! The kids all LOVE the park and it was really neat to see their differences as egg-hunters.

Entering the park... my sweet loves

Some pictures of them playing

This kid takes his shoes off EVERYWHERE we go!

Egg-huntin' time!

#1This one is super serious...
but was counting to make sure he didn't pick up more than was allowed

#2- Couldn't care less.
Stood and watched, not a bit interested in "the hunt"

#3- Surprisingly, this one was totally into it!

Some Fun Traditions

 Cookie cut-outs.
Logan does more and more of the work each year.

Decorating

Ryan may or may not have licked his icing stick.

Some of the finished product...
though several were eaten in the process

Decorating eggs

I bought a "painting" kit this year with little roller brushes. So much fun for the boys and easy for them to handle without a whole lot of waiting on the dyed eggs

SO FUN!!!

Ryan called them baseballs for awhile... and this is what happened to the ones he THREW across the table!

And little man got his Spring Cut from daddy while the boys were painting
(or I'm sure more of those eggs would've been thrown!)

Opening cards from Great Grandma!

"Oh WOW!" - a bunny!

Easter Morning

Where is that yellow egg?

Blue candy at 7am!

New Tradition: Resurrection Rolls

The idea came from THIS LINK

Marshmallows represent Jesus

Rolled in butter (oils)

Rolled in cinnamon sugar (spices)
Wrapped in crescent rolls (linen cloth)
Put into oven (tomb)

Time to enjoy the yummy goodness...

But where is the marshmallow?

Jesus has RISEN!

Logan's response when he was confused about how the marshmallow just melted disappeared:

"How did God know we were doing this?"
:-)

After all that morning fun, we made it to church that morning and then it was off to my parents house for the afternoon. I'm sad I never got a picture of all three of them in their precious outfits, but you can see them individually (minus Ryan's sweater-vest as the day did get a bit hot for that).

Egg huntin'

Logan's first popsicle in 40 days!!
So proud of that boy for keeping his Lent promise

Popsicles are for...

Sharing?!?!?

Kisses!

Feet in the pool with Aunt Lauren
(the boys have been given permission to call her "aunt" now that they're engaged!)

Watching the end of the golf tournament play-off.
Super exciting!

What is Easter without a CHOCOLATE BUNNY!?!?!

Swimming on Easter?

Yep!!!

Swimming until dark and then he was MADE to get out.

Easter was a great day for our boys and our family!
We are truly blessed beyond measure!

This made me smile. How precious!
